			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When Randy Waite, owner of Tan-Do in Wichita, KS, wanted to breathe new life into his Client Tanning Referral Program, and generate a heap of targeted, pre-qualified leads of potential tanners, he turned to Taneezy to implement a Refer-A-Friend marketing strategy. This a low-cost, high return campaign that he and his staff could run with.<span id="more-746"></span></p>
<p>The overall look and feel of Tan-Do is a fun and hip. He’s recently remodeled his salon and has incorporated a bright and beachy theme in all the tanning rooms and lobby, which played well with the campaign design he chose.</p>
<p>The Taneezy campaign included specific promotional pieces that Randy could quickly and easily implement in his salon to attract new clients. This one was a breeze for the staff to promote.</p>
<h3>Refer-A-friend Promo Pieces:</h3>
<ul>
<li>8.5 x 11 Poster - Perfect to display at point-of-sale. The same poster was printed locally to place in each of his tanning rooms.</li>
<li>24 x 36 Poster &#8211; Randy placed the large poster in his sign holder to bring the campaign to life.</li>
<li>4 x 6 Rack Card &#8211; An easy way for his staff to introduce the new program to the clients. On every shift, his employees gave a card to clients as they arrived. A card was also left on each of the beds in the tanning rooms.</li>
</ul>
<p>One important aspect of the campaign was the use of a rack card. This created a buy-in for each client, and something tangible the his staff could pass out to each client to remind them of the awesome opportunity to cash in on some free tans!</p>
<p>This fresh, fun campaign was promoted using Facebook and a series of emails to existing clients of Tan-Do.</p>
<p>Randy customize this design to incorporate a contest element, where Randy gave a special bonus gift to the single client that had the most referrals over a specific time period. It definitely created some urgency and stirred up some excitement.</p>
<p>The messaging in this campaign was concise and easy to understand. There was an immediate call to action, and a benefit to each existing client to refer their friends and family to Tan-Do before the offer expired.</p>

After buying an existing tanning salon she had to rename it, rebrand it and build a brand new clientele that was all her own, as well as maintain and lure back customers who had frequented the old salon in the past. Quite a task, but Chloé and her staff proved to be<span id="more-743"></span> more than up to the challenge – with a little help from Taneezy.</p>
<p>To showcase the redesigned tanning salon, the great equipment and her eager, friendly staff Chloé knew she needed to open up Salon Bronze with a bang. And what could be bigger than offering a free weekend of tanning?</p>
<p><em><strong>“Overall, I could NOT be happier with our results. I knew it was going to be a crazy weekend, but my goodness. I didn’t expect it to be so successful!”</strong></em></p>

<p>To build up the buzz, Chloé knew she needed more than a few handmade signs and an ad in the local paper. A few weeks before the big day she began passing out the same message on 5&#215;8 rack cards. The message across the board was clear, consistent and buzz worthy &#8211; it was a free tan weekend. 3 Day Event. No catch. To bring in the sunless crowd, she offered fantastic savings on single airbrush and Mystic Tans.</p>
<p>The result?</p>
<p><em><strong>“People were rushing the doors to be the first ones in so we actually opened about 10 minutes early.  So from 9am -9pm there was not ONE minute that someone wasn’t waiting for a bed or Mystic. Saturday and Sunday were the exact same way!”</strong></em></p>
<p>“We almost doubled our highest sales day everyday! And by the end of the weekend we doubled our rent! Two months rent in THREE days! SCORE! Extra money is nice! But the extra money our new customers will bring in over time…is priceless.”</p>
<p>Besides the increase in revenue, Salon Bronze welcomed over 180 brand new, first time clients, delivered over 250 Mystic Tans and had a frazzled, but happy, staff by the time the weekend ended. <p>I have spent so many hours searching the web for ideas and designs or images to use when making my own tanning promotions. There were many late nights creating things in Word using nasty clipart and copied images from the web that were never intended for print. Looking back, it screamed amateur at best. What was I thinking? My salon&#8217;s image was at stake.</p>
<h3><span id="more-704"></span>Freelancers</h3>
<p>I tried more times than I can count to find freelance designers to create cards or menu&#8217;s or posters for me. Most of them stood me up, and the ones that were nice enough to show up, never got back to me or even started working on my projects.</p>
<h3>And The Seed Was Planted</h3>
<p>That&#8217;s when I thought, how awesome would it be if there was a company online, that I could jump in at my leisure and download promotions, specific to my industry. Not only that, but made it affordable and easily accessible..</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I don&#8217;t know why it&#8217;s so comforting, but a big bowl of cereal at midnight is the best. I&#8217;ve been staring at his screen and now it&#8217;s tomorrow. I&#8217;m so excited about the the official launch of our new website! Taneezy is up there live and I&#8217;m super stoked, nervous, and my energy is pretty much impossible to rein in! So, eating my daughter&#8217;s Fruit Loops (don&#8217;t laugh), I thought I should start writing a little post about how Taneezy came about. <p>I have owned a salon for about 8 years now and I&#8217;ve always struggled with marketing. Actually, I love marketing. It wasn&#8217;t the act of marketing that I struggled with, but finding someone to bring my ideas to life. I have a passion for creating promotions and coming up with new ways to gain more clients and keep my existing client base engaged and coming back year-round. I just don&#8217;t have the talent to make those promotions look great.</p>
<p>I probably spent the first 5 years in business, either making my own promotions using a desktop publisher, or working with random &#8220;tanning specific&#8221; marketing companies. Well, at least they said they specialized in tanning. It was fine at first, but as I gained more industry knowledge and my desire to do more with my salon grew, I found these companies just couldn&#8217;t keep this marketing junkie satisfied.</p>
<h3>Here are a few of the reasons those companies didn&#8217;t work for me:</h3>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>Lack of Creativity in Design</strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">I&#8217;d create a genious offer and pass it along for the marketing group to design a poster or mailer for me. I found the designs to be dated and most times pretty cheesy. And after looking at their other clients work, it all had the same vibe and feel.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>&#8220;Branding&#8221;</strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">At first this concept of creating a &#8220;brand&#8221; was great. But then I realized all it meant was that they created one design for my salon, and every time I wanted to create a promotion or ad, it looked identical and no thought went into creating the future pieces. If I wanted a new design, I felt nickel and dimed and made to feel like I was asking a lot.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>The Waiting Game</strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">After waiting a week or two, I&#8217;d finally get back the first version of a design, and it was just ok. I was never wow&#8217;d, so I thought, how is this going to wow my clients.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>The Mercedes Effect</strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">If you&#8217;ve ever owned, or know someone that owns a European car, you might have heard them say it&#8217;s their $500 or $1000 car. Everytime they take it to the shop, they spend $500 to $1000. Well, I felt this way with my marketing. Why was it that I had to spend a small fortune every time I wanted to create something new. Which for me meant, year-round. I never wanted to miss an opportunity to promote a product or up-sell a package.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m sure there are other reasons, but I think that&#8217;s a good start. I didn&#8217;t realize how hard it is to wrap 8 years into one little blog post.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kristin Klinker, owner of BodiBronze in Naperville, Illinois had a simple goal &#8211; increase sales of her newest airbrush service, the Quick Spray.</p>
<p>Kristin was extremely busy remodeling one of her existing salons, which left very little time to promote this fantastic new product. The plan was to draw attention to the new service through a successful in-house marketing strategy. With the use of in-room posters in addition to a card, her staff began to promote the benefits of <span id="more-748"></span>the Quick Spray service with an offer too good to pass up. Her introductory offer of Buy 1, Get 1 Free got the attention of her clients &#8211; quick!</p>
<p>&#8220;No need to fuss with designers to match my vision.&#8221; says Kristin. If you like this design, you can grab it here and customize it to suit your salon.</p>
<p>She used her salon&#8217;s Facebook page to engage her clients and answer questions about the new service. And before she new it, the ball was rolling and there was a buzz in the air about the Quick Spray.</p>
<p>Kristin had this to say, &#8220;In the first week of using the Taneezy design, the interest in our newest service has boomed! The catchy imaging and sophisticated look coincide with my salons image perfectly and my clients are definitely responding. We will be using their services again!&#8221;</p>
<p>A few weeks after her promotion, the positive effects still linger and this is what Kristin wrote is a recent email. &#8220;The BOGO Quick Spray turned out great! We have more people doing our Quick Spray in Naperville than regular sprays and Champaign is doing very well also with the Quick Spray! It was a fabulous promotion!!&#8221;</p>
<p>When it comes to down the cost of a promotion like this, Kristin was able to pick up 1000 cards for under $50 and the small posters for the rooms set her back less than $10. A small price to pay to project a professional image for a service she&#8217;s sell for about $60 each.</p>

<h3>1. Business Cards</h3>
<p>I pack my bags and head off to the tanning convention, and it never fails, every year, I reach into my purse to pass along my business card and it&#8217;s not there. We always say it&#8217;s one of those things you&#8217;ll never forget &#8211; but you do. So here&#8217;s a gentle reminder to pack those cards now! Task your staff with reminding you on your way out the door before you head to the show.</p>
<h3>2. Phone Charger</h3>
<p>Not sure about you, but I always forget my phone charger. I admit, I practically sleep with my iPhone, but it just ain&#8217;t the same when it&#8217;s dead. Although your salon is in good hands, this is the exact time that we need to stay connected. Be sure you&#8217;re phone is at full charge so in case of an emergency, your employees can get a hold of you quickly.</p>
<h3>3. A Notebook</h3>
<p>Yes, a notebook. And a pencil! Well, it&#8217;s kind of cheesy, and maybe a little archaic, but you never know when you&#8217;ll get a burst of inspiration and need to jot down a brilliant idea to bring back to your tanning salon. iPad&#8217;s come in handy, too, though:)</p>
<h3>4. Your Game Face</h3>
<p>Bring it! Prepare your game plan! Make sure you tackle the exhibitor hall, the fabulous workshops and gain a heavy serving of inspiration.</p>
